Description:
3D Model represents a GNR Diagram 281 4 compartment Brake Third (body dimensions 34′ 10 1/2″ x 7’6″) 6 wheel carriage. I always intended to produce this particular prototype but never got around to it, until now. Note that the diameter of the fixing pin for the torpedo vents and gas lamp have been increased from previous issues to help reduce overhang when printing.
The model has been broken down into its component stl parts. End user will need to devise their own orientation and supports to suit their printer and may choose to composite elements into larger printable structures. Another change is the headstocks have been separated from the ends for those preferring the print the body flat on the printer bed. In addition to the stls I have also included the equivalent .obj file for those wanting an easier model to modifiy.
Not supplied are floor, partitions and seating. Note that the ends rebate into the sides. Underframe was designed to use sprung etched outer w-irons. Buffer bases on ends are not included but can be downloaded separately from the GNRS site.
