Notes:

(a) Under Date Issued, in the absence of a specific issue date for a Tender Order, the suffix “S” denotes “Date to Shops” of the Order, whilst “E” denotes the date of issue of the associated Engine Order. 

(b) Nos. allocated (1926) to the tenders currently with the 44 K3s built at Darlington (1924-25) for the Southern Area.

(c) Nos. allocated (1926) to the tenders currently with the 7 K3s built at Doncaster (1920-21) that acquired replacement Darlington tenders (1925-26).

(d) Engines and tenders built at Darlington for the Southern Area.

(e) Second-hand tenders sent to Doncaster for attaching to the new engines.
